Peter Goes West

Did you get the reference? My title is like that classic Disney movie about the mouse FIVEL who goes west. I am working on "figurative language" a technique I found online to inmprove my writing.

I think the decision was inveitible. I just didn't see it. I was so focused on staying here to be with my grandmother that I avoided the truth that was "write" in front of me. I want to be a writer, there are no working writers in the southeast, and out west is a big sprawling city built for people like me called Hollywood. I just had to look west and see the flashing lights with my name in them. I told my grandmother about the idea and she thought it was the best idea i ever had and bought me a ticket to go. It is hard to argue with the message of fate when your grandmother buies you a ticket!

So I am headed out west. I am going to see the birthplace of the stars. I am going to mingle with the greats and meet everyone I can. Hopefully I will meet the makers of FAMILY GUY that I love to watch so much because I think I could write a really good episode of that show if they let me.

On the FIVEL movie they said there are no cats in america, but there are definitely going to be a BEAR OUT WEST!

When I'm out there I will try to share a variety of BEAR ON THE LOOSE videos but I can't garantee I will post regular blog updates since its hard to type them all out on my phone with the small keyboard. Keep your eyes dotted (and your tees crossed) to this blog and see what's coming up.

Let me know if you have any suggestions of people to meet in LA.

ATTENTION INTERNET PREDATORS

I am very upset right now. Viewers it has come to my attention that some men (and probably women) online have been behaving in a way that it EXTREMELY UPSETTING BEHAVIOR. People need to think about their actiosn and who might be effected by those actions if they come across certain posts on the internet. You should all think the next time before you send a VULGAR picture to someone else. Even if they said they wanted to see the picture, you should just think about how those images might effect the more inpressionable minds in our society.

You should not send vulgarity on the internet. One of these days, your actions are going to catch up to you and its going to inpact your ability to find a job or even find an apartment. You're going to have to make some imbarrassing calls to potential future employers who are going to want to know why you were sending filth around. I would hate to be you when that day comes. Don't say I didn't warn you. Watch the video and BE WARNED!

The role of a agent

Judy and I were watching a secret spy show on TV while it was raining. I really don't remember the name but I think it was AGENTS WITH SHIELDS or something. We only watched a minute of it because Judy got confused and I muted it and before I unmated it the show ended!

It took me about five minutes to understand the confusion because Judy had heard me talking about getting an agent for my writeing the other day but then got confused about secret agents portrayed on TV. I don't doubt there have been some agents to double as secret agents at some point in the past (that is actually a pretty good movie idea) but for sipmler explantation I focused on just one. The writers agent. She didn't know exactly what they did and I wanted to explain to her and also any of you who may not have understood the question the other day what an agent does and why I need one.

Agents are people who go to parties and meet everyone they can and then call them all to learn about them. This gives them a good bit of knowledge about everyone they meet and gives them the ability to use those people to help there clients in the future. This is the meet and greet process, step one of an agents work.

Next, agents do step 2, which is to meet with a bunch of potential "clients." Depending on what type of agent the client could be a writer or a actor or a stunt man. I would be needing writers agents so for my case the agent meets a bunch of writers. Then he picks the one he wants to represent.

For step 3, after an agent has a "client" he can show that clients work to all of the people he met in step 1. Some of them then give money to the agent for the writer and the movie gets made! I guess a writer could also be his own agent but that seems very complicated since so much work goes into the first few steps that it would be hard to find time to write.

Most agents are in Hollywood Califnornia because it's filled with so many more people to get money from to make movies (like tv studios and movie companies).

Hopefully that was helpful to break the process down. I may have missed a couple of details but this is intended like those FOR DUMMIES books that are so easy to read in the book store.

GETTING AN AGENT

Viewers, please watch this video and tell me if you have any advice related to the queries and concerns that I bring up. If you don't have time to watch right now but want to know what the video is about, I'll just tell you really quick because getting some answers is important while I'm coming off the premiere of my first movie and my career is picking up a bit. Do any of you know how to get an agent in South Carolina? I've done a few google searches, but nothing helpful has come up. Should I go to Hollywood????

FIFTY NIFTY UNITED STATES

Have you ever heard the song about the fifty nifty united states? I heard it in fifth grade but i don't' remember all the words! And I also don't think that there are actually fifty good states. In reality there are more like 4 (or 5 if you count South Carolina where I live since its actually pretty good all things considered) good states, one for each side of the continent. Those are the real ones to live in.

There's New York. That one has most of the big businesses and news channels and fashion and it is really just a cultural hotspot from what I understand. My grandmother told me she lived there when she was younger but I have never been and I can't verify that since I have never seen where she used to live. It's got a city named after it too, which most states (or maybe all states) don't have. It is probably the number one state in the USA for the average person.

California is next. It is the best state in the country in my opinion, better than New York, because it has all the big things that have formed the best TVs and movies. You may not have realized this but all movies and TV are filmed in California and so even though they are set across the country, they use places in California to fill in for the real thing. So really California is the only state we ever see on TV and it's pretty great from what we see! In order to fully become a media job in the future it will definitely be the place I need to head. There is a huge support system ready to help you there. Agents to get you work, TV stations and movie studios looking for scripts to produce, actors ready to work. Its an ecoystem that works well and I want to be part of it some day.

Texas is also a great one, you can tell because it's so big. Most of the population of the USA lives in Texas because theirs so much room. I think the song "HOME HOME ON THE RANGE" is about Texas and I have always enjoyed the depiction of wildlife and the prarey.

The last great state is Illinois because it contains the great american city Chicago. I hope to visit chicago one day and get the pizza they are supposedly well known for making. I think it is a difference of size and the way you eat it (with a fork I think) but overall it seems an exciting food endevor.

There are 45 more states I didn't even mention but its because they don't have much going for them, like North Carolina or Alabama or Florida. These places have people in them only because those people don't move like they should. I am overall glad those people don't move because they would head to California and overpopulate it's important cities like Los Angels!

What is your favorite state and why?

Great things are brewing ahead.

It's time to build up anticipation. I think I am going to be getting some exciting new technology soon. My grandmother and I had a conversation and I think it is going to happen.

I am not going to tell you what it is yet, because I am going to make something with it first and my grandmother may change her mind so I don't want to be called a liar! I will say it is going to make things in my life and for my blog a lot easier!

Get the anticipation started, let the count down begin.
