FIFTY NIFTY UNITED STATES

Have you ever heard the song about the fifty nifty united states? I heard it in fifth grade but i don't' remember all the words! And I also don't think that there are actually fifty good states. In reality there are more like 4 (or 5 if you count South Carolina where I live since its actually pretty good all things considered) good states, one for each side of the continent. Those are the real ones to live in.

There's New York. That one has most of the big businesses and news channels and fashion and it is really just a cultural hotspot from what I understand. My grandmother told me she lived there when she was younger but I have never been and I can't verify that since I have never seen where she used to live. It's got a city named after it too, which most states (or maybe all states) don't have. It is probably the number one state in the USA for the average person.

California is next. It is the best state in the country in my opinion, better than New York, because it has all the big things that have formed the best TVs and movies. You may not have realized this but all movies and TV are filmed in California and so even though they are set across the country, they use places in California to fill in for the real thing. So really California is the only state we ever see on TV and it's pretty great from what we see! In order to fully become a media job in the future it will definitely be the place I need to head. There is a huge support system ready to help you there. Agents to get you work, TV stations and movie studios looking for scripts to produce, actors ready to work. Its an ecoystem that works well and I want to be part of it some day.

Texas is also a great one, you can tell because it's so big. Most of the population of the USA lives in Texas because theirs so much room. I think the song "HOME HOME ON THE RANGE" is about Texas and I have always enjoyed the depiction of wildlife and the prarey.

The last great state is Illinois because it contains the great american city Chicago. I hope to visit chicago one day and get the pizza they are supposedly well known for making. I think it is a difference of size and the way you eat it (with a fork I think) but overall it seems an exciting food endevor.

There are 45 more states I didn't even mention but its because they don't have much going for them, like North Carolina or Alabama or Florida. These places have people in them only because those people don't move like they should. I am overall glad those people don't move because they would head to California and overpopulate it's important cities like Los Angels!

What is your favorite state and why?
